Freshstart Care Solutions was born out of a profound desire to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people who are in need of a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment. Recognising the escalating rate of children in need of quality care in the Bromley Borough, our founder, a seasoned professional in the field of child care, was moved to take action, and open our first semi-independent home in 2014 and our first residential children’s home in April 2024.

Informed by years of experience and the stark realities revealed by local statistics, our founder embarked on a mission to provide a haven for children who found themselves in circumstances beyond their control. Freshstart Care Solutions is the manifestation of this vision – a place that not only addresses the immediate needs of children for shelter, sustenance, and safety but also nurtures their aspirations and helps them unlock their full potential.

At the heart of Freshstart Care Solutions is our devoted staff team, comprised of in-house support staff, therapists, experienced social workers, managerial professionals, and more. Each member of our team brings their unique expertise from various professional backgrounds including social care, nursing, education, and psychology. This array of skills creates a multidimensional and comprehensive approach to the care we provide, ensuring that all aspects of our young people's needs are met.

Our staff are not just seasoned professionals but passionate advocates for the young people in their care, with an average experience ranging from 5 to over 25 years in their respective fields. This depth of knowledge and commitment guarantees the highest standard of care and support for those under our roof.

We also deeply believe in the ongoing professional development of our team. All our staff hold at minimum an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, with many pursuing specialisation in various related fields. This commitment to continual learning allows us to adapt and cater to the unique needs of each young person.

Whether it’s our residential or semi-independent homes, all our homes are designed to provide a comfortable, safe, and nurturing environment that promotes the well-being, development, and independence of our children and young people. Each of our homes, whether residential or semi-independent, features a minimum of two bedrooms, providing ample space and privacy.

We believe in creating spaces that foster positive relationships and engagement. That's why our homes boast spacious common areas including a well-appointed living room with a Smart TV, offering a range of streaming platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube. This allows our young residents to unwind, socialise, and have fun while also accessing educational content.

Outdoor play and physical activities are crucial for the overall development of young people. Keeping this in mind, all our homes come with gardens equipped with sports equipment like basketball hoops, boxing punching bag stands, and footballs. This encourages our young residents to engage in sports and physical activities, promoting their health and well-being.

In addition, each home boasts a fully equipped kitchen with modern amenities such as air fryers, electric cookers, ovens, microwaves and a full suite of cooking utensils. These facilities not only cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our young people but also provide them with opportunities to learn life skills like cooking and nutrition.

We understand the importance of technology in today's world. Therefore, all our homes come with internet access as a standard feature. This enables our young residents to continue their education online, stay connected with friends and family, and access various resources for their development and entertainment. The common spaces also feature Smart TVs, offering both educational and recreational content for all the young people in our care.

2. Sophia's Success - Age: 17, Location: Croydon

Sophia arrived at Freshstart Care Solutions with significant emotional challenges stemming from past experiences. Our dedicated team of therapists and social workers helped her navigate her emotions and grow stronger. Today, she is a powerful advocate for mental health in youth, running her own blog to inspire and support others who face similar struggles. She's recently been accepted into a top-tier university to study psychology, hoping to make a professional difference in mental health support for young people.

Alice came into our care with an uncertain future, facing difficulties in finding her direction. Through consistent guidance and exploration of her interests, we discovered her love for animals. We then organised a volunteer placement at a local animal shelter. This experience was transformative for Alice.
